This site will give you some examples
of the sorts of pieces that I generally
make--though I am always creating
new designs. If you are interested in
purchasing work online, please visit my
etsy shop. If you can't find exactly
what you're looking for there
let me know--I always have items
in stock but not yet listed. I'm also
happy to discuss custom work. If you
are in Austin, my work is available in
select shops around town, or feel free
to contact me and arrange a time to
meet personally.

ARTIST STATEMENTIm especially drawn to materials that
are decidedly not precious--things that
some might even consider to be trash.
In this vein, my current work is primarily
concerned with re-purposing decorative
tin containers. This means I am
engaged in the heady process of
upcycling.
Finding the tins and then selecting the
most intriguing areas to work with is,
in many ways, a holdover from my
graphic design training. It's somehow
both comforting and challenging to work
with found imagery. I tend to be drawn
to bright colors and bold graphics and
many of these pieces reflect this.
However, I do appreciate and try to
work with the more illustrative aspects
of some of the tins.
The variety of raw material is almost
limitless, so I have focused largely on
the circle as a unifying starting point for
most of my pieces, but I am also
exploring different shapes and more
complex constructions. It is by far the
most engaging work I've ever done. I
can't wait to see where it will take me.
