I started playing around with this idea of connecting together pieces of tin with thin tabs. The first few are of oddly shaped boxes that remind me of buildings and that got me thinking about other polyhedra, so I thought I’d try an octahedron next.
This is the first And I’m not sure if I’ll make more or not. Because I’m creatively fickle.
Each piece is hand cut, filed, finished smooth and then assembled. The pin is finished with a super strong neodymium magnet clasp that won't mar clothing. This piece is approximately 2” (48mm) by 2.75” (68mm).
I’m using up tiny scraps of tin so each pin is completely unique. If you see one you like, snag it now.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
Please contact me if you have any other questions.
I’ve recently partnered with the non-profit One Tree Planted. $1 from your order today will plant a tree somewhere on the globe.
