These earrings are made from a vintage tin that has pretty lousy graphics, but I love this window screen texture. I wish they had just 86ed the weird and random illustrations of spinning wheels and chunky flowers--they completely take away from this lovely field of warm red.

The .625" (16mm) circles are hand punched, formed and then the edges are finished smooth. The basins are then drilled and finished with surgical stainless steel kidney wires. The finished earrings are .5" (13mm) round and hang just about 1" (26mm) from your ear. Each pair of earrings is made to order, so please allow for some variation with your particular pair.

All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card ready for gift-giving.

Please contact me if you have any other questions.

I've been making contemporary jewelry from decorative tins for nearly a dozen years and still love absolutely everything about the material. Searching for them in thrift shops and antique stores. Breaking them down to add to my stash. Finding the perfect piece of the tin to create an intriguing necklace. The fact they come pre-loaded with so much color, imagery and typography. Lately I've even learned to love removing and distressing the finish to create totally different looks. My work has been featured in Art Jewelry Magazine and is for sale in boutiques across the country. See more of my work and learn more about my process at christineblogs.com
