This beautifully aged vintage tin globe is a favorite. I’m not sure how old it is, but old enough to have a USSR. (My geeky husband has dated it to the early 60s.) This pair features six semi circles from the same area of the globe, but in no particular order. Abstracting the map, if you will.
Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth and then slightly formed to add interest and rigidity. A surgical stainless steel ear wire finishes the look.
The finished earrings are approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide and hang about 3" (75mm) from the ear.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and wrapped ready for gift-giving.
