This only barely rises to the level of a new design, but it does show off a new piece of knowledge. Namely, you can cut tin with heavy duty vintage pinking shears. Of which I have several pair because I have a weird thing for vintage scissors. Whenever I find a good pair in the thrift store I pick them up. No. I never need scissors, but they are one of those things that were better made in the past.

Anyway, this is a really (really) simple application for this new ability, but I am excited to have this cool new trick to add to the mix.

----------------------

Each piece is hand cut and finished smooth, zig zag edges folded over and then the rectangle is slightly formed for added rigidity and interest. A surgical stainless steel wire finishes the look.

The finished earrings are approximately .5" (12mm) wide and hang about 2" (48mm) from the ear.

All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card, wrapped and ready for gift-giving.
