I found this super cool tray covered with some major arcana tarot cards and had to have it. I’m determined to use all of the beautiful bits, so these earrings are from an edge, so these pieces are not quite square, but I actually like how they turned out. Especially paired with these crescent moons.
The King of Swords is a symbol of intellectual power and authority and has the courage and intellect to achieve all that he desires. You are in your power, ruling from a place of authority and respect. You stand firm in your truth and express yourself with deep conviction. As a result, others pay attention to what you have to say.
The Queen of Swords notes that you are a truth-seeker. You are open to hearing the thoughts and opinions of others, but ultimately, you filter that information to decipher what is true and what is not. You have the gift of being able to use your intellect and unbiased judgement while also remaining flexible and open to receive input from other sources.
Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth and then riveted to a length of waxed steel wire. A surgical stainless steel ear wire finishes the look.
The finished earrings are approximately 1.25" (28mm) wide and hang about 2.5" (60mm) from the ear.
Each piece of metal comes to me having lived a previous life--in some cases multiple lives! It is not unusual for the material to sometimes have scuffs, scratches, faded portions, and general wear and tear. If a flawless finish is important to you, please zoom in to the pictures here to look for imperfections that might be distracting for you.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
