When you cut just a sliver of tin off a long edge there’s this effect that happens where the metal curls into lovely little spirals. I’ve always wanted to figure out a way to use those, but just never made it happen. I got to thinking about them again last night and just started playing around with the idea today in the shop.
Each piece is hand cut and finished smooth and then wound into a spiral. I then connect it to the hand formed and forged surgical stainless steel hoop.
The finished earrings are approximately 2.5" (54mm) round and hang about 2.5" (54mm) from the ear.
