I've recently become fascinated with old book covers as a jewelry material. It fits right in with my adaptive reuse philosophy, so I've created a separate line of Ex Libris book pieces.
The designs and colors are limited to the books I have on hand, so if you see something you like, grab it before it's gone.
This particular pendant comes from a couple of different vintage book covers.
Each piece is sawed by hand, filed, finished smooth and then coated with a microcrystalline wax to protect from moisture. (These are, however, essentially pieces of paper, so do not wear them in the shower!) The necklace is finished with a length of silk cord and a simple barrel clasp that allows the wearer to customize the Dimensions are approximate as each pair is made to order, so please allow for some variation with your unique piece.
All adaptive reuse Ex Libris pieces come to you neatly displayed on a card and wrapped in a simple recycled package ready for gift-giving.
Please contact me if you have any other questions.
