I feel like I’m going to have to get better with wire because I like this stitched look. It makes me envision a huge crazy quilt of tin using all the remaining bits that I don’t have the heart to throw out, but also don’t really have a use for. A giant tin quilt sounds like the sort of perfectly overwhelming and nit-picky project that I would love.
No quilts today, though. Just these odd little truncated triangles married together with some fine steel wire.
Each piece is hand cut, finished smooth then slightly formed for added interest and rigidity. The pieces are then hole punched and stitched together with fine gauge steel wire. A surgical stainless steel wire finishes the look.
The finished earrings are approximately 2" (48mm) wide and hang about 3.25" (78mm) from the ear.
