The Rave Mandala in Human Design is a visual representation of the cosmology of the human story. This series is exploring how the tiniest scraps of old abandoned tins can be transformed into objects of desire.
Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth, riveted and tabbed to a piece of backing tin. The backing tin is then shaped into the scalloped edge frame. The backing tin is then shaped into the scalloped edge frame and an 18” silver finish chain finishes the look.
The finished pendant is approximately 2.75" (66mm) round. This piece can be converted to a brooch if you prefer.
Each piece of metal comes to me having lived a previous life--in some cases multiple lives! It is not unusual for the material to sometimes have scuffs, scratches, faded portions, and general wear and tear. If a flawless finish is important to you, please zoom in to the pictures here to look for imperfections that might be distracting for you.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
