When I was a child, my dad used to take us to a place called Five Islands along the Maine coast. We would climb underneath the dock onto the edge of the rocky shore and search for sea urchin shells. I just remember them being so beautiful and magical. These tin versions are an homage to those fantastical creatures.
Each piece is hand cut, patterned, slightly formed and then the edges are finished smooth. The urchins are then finished with surgical stainless steel kidney ear wires.
The finished earrings are 1" (24mm) wide and hang just about 2” (48mm) from your ear.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
