These long raindrop shapes are a customer favorite. I first started cutting the shapes to salvage still too beautiful to recycle bits of tin. But I couldn't figure out how to make use of all their elongated beauty. It finally occurred to me one day to curl the tippy top part of the tin to create a loop. Sliding them on a medium sized waxed steel jump ring sealed the deal.
This particular pair is from a lovely vintage Asian motif tin that is filled with creamy cherry blossoms on a beautiful shade of blue jean. Each pair is made to order, so please allow for variations with your particular pair.
The long teardrops are approximately 1.5" (42mm) long and with the addition of the steel ring and French hook ear wire, hang about 2.5" (63mm) from the ear.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and wrapped in a simple recycled package ready for gift-giving.
