I started playing around with this idea of connecting together pieces of tin with thin tabs. These first few are of oddly shaped boxes that remind me of buildings.
This is the second in the series and I figured out how to make the piece work as either a brooch or necklace.
Each piece is hand cut, filed, finished smooth and then assembled. The pin is finished with a super strong neodymium magnet clasp that won't mar clothing and comes with an 18” silver finish chain that can be removed when wearing the piece as a brooch. This piece is approximately 1.25” (30mm) by 2” (48mm).
I’m using up tiny scraps of tin so each pin is completely unique. If you see one you like, snag it now.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
