I’m playing around with layering ink over scraps of tin and then scratching in more complex designs. I’m trying to get just the black ink off to show the color beneath. This is my first experiment. So far I’ve learned it’s pretty tricky.
The piece is hand cut and the edges are filed and finished smooth. Then I slightly form it to add rigidity and interest. The final piece is about .5" (12mm) wide and strung on a simple 18" (56cm) long, 1.2mm silver finish chain with a standard spring ring clasp.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
