This pair of earrings is a new design and a new process. The design started as a way to way to maximize using circular tin lids by cutting wedge shapes from them. The finish comes from bottom pieces of tins that used to go in the recycle bin, but now I've discovered I was can burn them to create a really lovely fire polish.
Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth and then riveted to a length of waxed steel wire. A surgical stainless steel ear wire finishes the look.
The finished earrings are approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide and hang about 3" (75mm) from the ear. Each pair is made to order, so expect slight variations with your particular pair.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and wrapped ready for gift-giving.
