This pair of earrings is a newer design that come originally from cutting wedge shapes from the lids of circular tins. Then I realized I could use the shape on any part of the tin. I really dig the slight arc and the overall shape.
This particular pair features a lovely pattern of golden butterflies and flowers on a field of snowy white. Each piece is hand cut, edges filed and finished smooth and then riveted to a length of waxed steel wire. A surgical stainless steel ear wire finishes the look.
The finished earrings are approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide and hang about 3" (75mm) from the ear. Each pair is made to order, so expect slight variations with your particular pair.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and wrapped ready for gift-giving.
