These earrings are hand cut from an awesome modern champagne tin. Yup, a perfectly good container of champagne--the bottle--was apparently not enough for Perrier-Jouet. They needed a tin too. Good for me. Probably not so great for the environment.
The leaf shape is created at the intersection of two identical overlapping circles. Given my love of circles, it's no surprise that I'm fascinated by it.
Leaf earrings are 2.25" (57mm) long and .75" (19mm) at the widest point. Each is hand cut, finished smooth and formed to shallow a shallow curve which adds structure and visual interest. They are finished with surgical stainless steel French hook wires and hang approximately 2.5" (63mm) from the ear. Each pair of earrings is made to order, so please allow for some variation with your particular pair.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
