I've recently become fascinated with old book covers as a jewelry material. It fits right in with my adaptive reuse philosophy, so I've created a separate line of Ex Libris book pieces.
The designs and colors are limited to the books I have on hand, so if you see something you like, grab it before it's gone.
This particular pair comes from several different vintage Readers Digest book covers that I was gifted by another artist who works with upcycled books.
Each piece is sawed by hand, filed, finished smooth and then waxed to protect from moisture. (These are, however, essentially pieces of paper, so do not wear them in the shower!) They are about .5” (12mm) wide and hang about 3” (72mm) from the ear. The rectangular ear wires are hand made from surgical stainless steel wire. Each pair is made to order, so please allow for some variation with your particular pair.
All adaptive reuse and Ex Libris pieces come to you neatly displayed on a card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
Please contact me if you have any other questions.

I’ve recently partnered with the non-profit One Tree Planted. $1 from your order today will plant a tree somewhere on the globe.
