In this design I cut a wide piece of tin and the fold it in half and secure it closed with another quarter inch piece of the tin. This gives the cuff the necessary heft and rigidity one layer of tin just can't do.
I file and finish the edges and back so that they are smooth and the distress the finish for added interest. Bending the whole piece into the cuff shape is the final step.
The finished bracelet is about 1” (24mm) wide and 6” long.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
