Sometimes I approach my bench to find little pieces from the previous day’s work that inspire a response of experimentation. That’s what happened today with these rainbow colored triangles.
I’m sure the endless supply of Pride month stuff in my IG feed were working in my subconscious, but I felt called to create this little piece.
It represents what I know to be true—that even though it doesn’t feel like it in this moment, we are all getting closer to operating out of our higher self heart energy. It’s a place where we’ll remember that we are all light beings for whom love is not an emotion but an awareness field.
The wooden block is treated with a Shou sugi ban fire finish. The edges are painted and each piece of tin is hand cut and nailed into the block. The back is natural wood, a hanger is attached and it is signed and dated.
This block is about 2” x 3” x .625” and the Art is about 3” x 3”. It can either stand on its own or be hung on the wall.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.

Each piece of metal comes to me having lived a previous life--in some cases multiple lives! It is not unusual for the material to sometimes have scuffs, scratches, faded portions, and general wear and tear. If a flawless finish is important to you, please zoom in to the pictures here to look for imperfections that might be distracting for you
