These new concrete pieces start first with a simple long length of tin. I rivet these into a loop and can then shape and fill them with a fine grade concrete.
This particular piece features a length of metal cut from a Girl Scout tin. The outside edge of the pendant says, “to reach her full potential and accomplish” as some words of empowerment that you can wear. The front side of the pendant has a circle of tin that says “Shine” with gold leaf rays. The reverse side features a mid asterisk design in silver leaf.
The finished pendant is approximately 1.25" (28mm) and 1.75” high and strung on a 1mm 18” long silver finish chain with a simple spring ring clasp.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
