Ancient Symbols + Vintage Tin = Modern Talismans
Create an Upcycled Tin Talisman
Join me at one of my favorite spots in San Marcos—The Eye of the Dog Art Center—to create a personalized wall talisman from upcycled tins. The class will take place Saturday afternoon, February 18, 2023 from 1p to 4p.
An amazing material to work with, tin is filled with color, patterns and imagery that’s just perfect for making into moons, hearts, hands, eyes, clouds, feathers and other ancient symbols of protection and good fortune.
All sorts of talisman pieces will be available to choose from and you’ll have a chance to make a few of your own. You’ll learn how to cut, file and finish the tin as part of the process. Once you have the perfect combo of pieces, you’ll learn how to assemble the final art into beautiful jewelry for your walls.
All supplies included and tools provided. I'll also have some light snacks and beverages for you.
